About the Role Here at Christchurch Hospital we are looking for an experienced Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our Cardiorespiratory and Surgical team working with respiratory outpatients and medical respiratory inpatients. This role is responsible for the delivery of physiotherapeutic assessments of patients with diverse and complex respiratory conditions and to deliver patient focused treatment programmes in both acute and outpatient settings. You will be actively involved in the education and training of 4th year undergraduate students and our rotational staff.
You will need to be enthusiastic and confident in your clinical practice and have a collaborative communication style. You will be required to contribute to the weekend and on-call rosters. In this role, you will be responsible for: Undertaking assessments, completing appropriate interventions and providing advice or referring to other services Supervising and mentoring rotational staff and final year physiotherapy students Supporting quality improvement activities About You Experience in the medical respiratory setting inpatients and/or outpatients Inpatient hospital experience desirable The ability to work collaboratively across the multi-disciplinary team Enthusiasm and confidence in sharing your knowledge across your discipline Competency with te ao Mori, tikanga, and te reo Mori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth Registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board and an Annual Practicing Certificate is essential Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellnesses'.
